Terms of Use

Effective October 1, 2026

1. Agreement

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Vet Easy Inc., the operator of GuestNest (“GuestNest”, “we”, “us”). They apply to the GuestNest app, this website and related services (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.

2. Accounts

  • You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country) to create an account, and old enough to form a binding contract — or have a parent or guardian’s permission — to make purchases.
  • Sign in with Apple, Google or email. Keep your sign-in secure; you are responsible for activity on your account.
  • Give accurate information and don’t impersonate anyone.

3. Hosts’ responsibilities

A host is someone who creates a celebration (its owner) or is made a co-host. Hosts control their celebration: its content, who is invited, which questions the RSVP asks and which features are on. If you are a host, you agree that:

  • You are responsible for everything you and your co-hosts publish, and for choosing who receives your join code and invite links.
  • You will collect and use guests’ information — including names, dietary notes and other RSVP answers, and the names of children in a household — only to organise your celebration, and you have a lawful basis to do so.
  • You will let your guests know that their details are shared with you through GuestNest, and respect requests to correct or remove them.
  • You won’t use guests’ information for marketing or sell it, and you won’t invite people to a celebration to spam them.
  • The owner may transfer ownership to a co-host. Deleting a celebration, or the owner’s account, permanently deletes the celebration for everyone, including its RSVPs, photos and unlocks.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of what you post — text, images, RSVPs, photos and videos (“Your Content”). You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, resize, translate at your request, display and transmit Your Content only to operate and provide the Service to the members of the celebration you posted it in. This licence ends when Your Content is deleted, except for copies held for a limited time in backups or where the law requires us to keep it.

You confirm that you have the rights to post Your Content and that it doesn’t violate anyone else’s rights or the law. We don’t claim ownership of Your Content and we don’t use it for advertising.

5. Photo & video rules

Photo walls are shared with everyone in a celebration. When you upload, you agree that:

  • You took the photo or video or have permission to share it, and the people in it would be comfortable with it being shared with the celebration’s guests.
  • It contains no nudity or sexual content, no graphic violence, nothing hateful, harassing or degrading, and nothing illegal.
  • It contains no content that sexualises, endangers or exploits a minor in any way. We report child sexual abuse material to the appropriate authorities.
  • Hosts may approve, hide or delete any upload, and we may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.
  • Photo walls are not permanent storage: uploads are kept for 12 months after the celebration’s date and then deleted (see Photo & video retention). Keep your own copies of anything you want to keep.

To report content, ask one of the celebration’s hosts to remove it, or email contact@guestnestapp.com. We review reports promptly.

6. Acceptable use

Don’t use the Service to:

  • break the law or infringe anyone’s intellectual property, privacy or publicity rights;
  • harass, threaten, bully or impersonate anyone, or post hateful, defamatory or sexually explicit content;
  • send spam, run schemes or collect other users’ information without permission;
  • guess join codes or invite links, access celebrations you weren’t invited to, or circumvent limits, security rules or payments;
  • interfere with the Service, upload malware, or scrape, reverse engineer or overload it (except as the law allows).

7. In-app purchases

  • Free tier. Every celebration can be used free with up to 30 guests (people listed across all RSVPs), the schedule, RSVPs, updates and the travel guide.
  • One-time unlocks for one celebration. Guest passes, photo and video storage, Seating & Tables, DJ Song Requests and the All-Inclusive bundle are one-time, consumable in-app purchases. Each purchase applies to the celebration you buy it for, is shared by that celebration’s hosts, and cannot be moved to another celebration. There are no subscriptions and nothing renews automatically.
  • How unlocks combine. Your celebration’s guest limit is that of the largest guest pass bought for it; photo storage from multiple purchases adds up; add-ons stay on once bought. Uploads beyond your storage are not kept.
  • Payment and prices. Purchases are made through Apple’s App Store using your Apple account. Apple sets the price shown for your country or region, collects payment and applicable taxes, and its terms apply to the transaction. Prices shown on our website are in US dollars and may differ from the App Store price where you live.
  • Refunds. All refunds are handled by Apple under its policies — request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. When Apple refunds a purchase, the related unlock is removed from the celebration.
  • Duration. Unlocks last for the life of the celebration, except that photo and video storage holds uploads for the retention period below. If the celebration is deleted, its unlocks end and are not refundable by us.
  • Photo & video retention. Photos and videos on a celebration’s photo wall are kept for 12 months after the celebration’s date (for a celebration without a date, 12 months after a date 18 months from when it was created). Hosts are reminded in the app and by notification about 30 and 7 days before; after that date the original files and their records are permanently deleted and the wall no longer accepts uploads. Download anything you want to keep before then. If the date changes, the deletion date moves with it, and we always give hosts at least 7 days’ notice before deleting.
  • Changes. We may change the products we offer, the free tier or prices for future purchases. We won’t reduce what an existing purchase granted to a celebration while it exists, except where required by law or because of a refund, chargeback or breach of these Terms.

8. Custom websites

We offer a made-to-order website design service, starting from US$500 with two rounds of edits, arranged by email after a first consultation. It is a human service provided outside the app and is not sold through in-app purchase. The scope, price, timeline and payment terms of each project are set out in a separate written quote or agreement, which governs that project.

9. Apple terms

If you downloaded GuestNest from the App Store, you acknowledge that:

  • These Terms are between you and Vet Easy Inc., not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.
  • Your licence to use the app is limited to Apple-branded devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service.
  • Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.
  • If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price of the app (if any); to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app.
  • We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app, including product liability claims, claims that it fails to meet legal or regulatory requirements, consumer protection claims and intellectual property infringement claims.
  • You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

10. Suspension & termination

You can stop using GuestNest and delete your account at any time (how). We may suspend or close accounts, remove content or disable celebrations that break these Terms, put others at risk or expose us to legal liability. Where reasonable we will tell you and give you a chance to fix the problem. Sections 4 (for content already licensed), 7 (refunds), 11 and 12 survive termination.

11. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

We work hard to keep GuestNest reliable, but the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don’t guarantee that notifications will always arrive, that the Service will be uninterrupted, or that content posted by hosts or guests is accurate — please confirm critical details such as times and venues with your hosts.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, GuestNest and Vet Easy Inc. will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim or US$50.

Some jurisdictions don’t allow certain exclusions or limits, so some of the above may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.

You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from content you post or your breach of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.

12. General

  • Changes. We may update these Terms. We will post the new version here with a new effective date and, for significant changes, notify you in the app. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept them.
  • Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION — to be confirmed by Vet Easy Inc.], without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where the law of your country of residence requires otherwise.
  • Entire agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service. If any part is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our not enforcing a term is not a waiver.
